Free Spotify playlist submission: what is actually free (2026)
Three routes put a song in front of Spotify playlist curators at no charge, Spotify's own editorial pitch lists no fee, and one free plan offers research tools rather than submissions; each has a catch worth knowing before you spend a week on it. Spotify's pitch form takes one unreleased song at a time. Daily Playlists gives you 10 standard submissions a week with no response promise. SubmitHub gives you two standard credits every four hours, which only opt-in curators accept. PlaylistMap gives you 3 curator-contact unlocks and a free song-match preview. artist.tools' free plan is research only: it checks playlists but holds its contacts behind a paid plan. Groover, Playlist Push and SoundCampaign have nothing to submit for free. Spotify's page checked on October 24, 2026; brokers on October 23, 2026; artist.tools on October 4, 2026. This page is published by PlaylistMap, which offers one of the free options below.

PlaylistMap numbers are live. Competitor facts from their public pages on the dates shown.
Start with Spotify itself
- In Spotify for Artists you can pitch an upcoming, unreleased song to Spotify's playlist editors; the pitching page lists no fee. Only one song can be pitched at a time, and once it goes live you can pitch the next one.
- The one stated commitment: pitch at least 7 days before release and Spotify adds the song to your followers' Release Radar playlists. Editorial playlisting is for consideration, not promised, and Spotify's page doesn't describe feedback.
- Compilations and songs you're only featured on can't be pitched, and the pitch has to come from someone with Admin or Editor access to the artist profile.
Free submissions on broker platforms
Daily Playlists
- 10 standard submissions a week on the free plan; you need a connected Spotify account.
- Standard submissions carry no response promise, and the curator has 21 days; if nobody answers, the submission is simply used up.
- Paid options, if you want a rule: premium credits ($19.99 for 10) promise a response within 7 days or the credit back, where the response can be feedback or a placement at the curator's discretion.
SubmitHub
- Two standard credits every four hours; they cost nothing, but you can never hold more than two at a time.
- Only curators who opt in accept standard credits (roughly 20%, SubmitHub says), and standard submissions carry no response or feedback requirement.
- Paid option: premium credits from $1 (about $0.80 in bulk), 1 to 5 per curator, with a response within 72 hours after a 60-second listen and 20 or more words on a decline, or the credit back.
Free ways to reach curators directly
PlaylistMap
- 3 one-time free unlocks for new accounts, no card: each opens the contact details one curator posts publicly, covering every playlist that curator runs, and the address stays yours. The unlocks aren't offered in a few paid-only countries; the preview and bot checker below are.
- Also free: a song-match preview against 70,365 Spotify playlists from 37,048 curator records (live), and a playlist bot checker; follower counts, freshness and an integrity score are visible before you unlock.
- No response promise: you email independent curators yourself. Paid plans start at $9.99 a month for 20 unlocks.
artist.tools (research only)
- Not a submission route: the free plan gives basic bot checks and 7 days of playlist history, useful for ruling out a playlist before you pitch it elsewhere.
- Curator contacts (158K+ listed, self-reported) need the Artist plan at $15 a month or $99 a year.
- Checked October 4, 2026.
By hand
- Many curators post a contact address or a submission form in their playlist description; reading descriptions one by one costs nothing but time.
- PlaylistMap's catalog is built from exactly those publicly posted details, so the free unlocks are the shortcut, not a different source.
- Whatever the route, a curator who adds your song does so at their own discretion.
What free never includes
- A place on a curator's playlist. Spotify says services that claim to offer guaranteed playlist placement for money violate its terms; no route on this page promises one. The only stated commitment anywhere here is Spotify's own: pitch at least 7 days early and the song goes into your followers' Release Radar.
- A guaranteed response. Daily Playlists' standard submissions have a 21-day curator window and no credit return for silence, SubmitHub's standard credits carry no response rule, and PlaylistMap makes no promise at any price because you are emailing independent curators; the 72-hour and 7-day rules belong to the brokers' paid tiers.
- A free campaign. SoundCampaign's free tools are calculators and checkers, not submissions; Playlist Push is "100% free to apply" but every campaign requires payment; Groover describes itself as a paying service.
How to choose
- Your song isn't out yet: pitch it in Spotify for Artists at least 7 days before release, then use any of the other routes alongside.
- You want a steady flow of free pitches: Daily Playlists' 10 a week, plus SubmitHub's two standard credits every four hours.
- You want to keep the curator's address: PlaylistMap's 3 free unlocks, or playlist descriptions read by hand.
- You want to check a playlist before pitching it: artist.tools' free bot checks or PlaylistMap's free bot checker and integrity scores.
- You want a response you can hold someone to: among the services here, that is a paid tier (SubmitHub premium, Daily Playlists premium credits, Groover).

Questions
Is there a completely free way to submit a song to Spotify playlists?
Yes, several, each with limits. Spotify's own pitch form in Spotify for Artists takes one unreleased song at a time, and the pitching page lists no fee. Daily Playlists gives you 10 standard submissions a week on its free plan. SubmitHub hands out two standard credits every four hours, never more than two at a time, accepted only by curators who opt in. PlaylistMap gives new accounts 3 one-time curator-contact unlocks with no card (these unlocks aren't offered in a few paid-only countries); its song-match preview and playlist bot checker are free everywhere. artist.tools has a free plan with basic bot checks and 7 days of history, but no curator contacts.
Does Spotify charge for pitching to its playlist editors?
Spotify's pitching page lists no fee: pitching is part of a Spotify for Artists account, for team members with Admin or Editor access. You can pitch one unreleased song at a time, not compilations or songs you're featured on. If you pitch at least 7 days before release, Spotify says it will add the song to your followers' Release Radar playlists; editorial playlisting itself is for consideration, with no placement promise.
Do free submissions get a response?
Not as a rule. Daily Playlists' standard submissions carry no response promise, and the curator has 21 days. SubmitHub's standard credits carry none either, and only curators who opt in receive them (roughly 20%, SubmitHub says). Response rules exist only on paid tiers: SubmitHub premium (a response within 72 hours after a 60-second listen, 20 or more words on a decline, or the credit back) and Daily Playlists premium credits (a response within 7 days or the credit back). With PlaylistMap you email independent curators yourself, so there is no promise either way; Spotify's pitching page doesn't describe feedback.
Can any free (or paid) route guarantee a playlist placement?
No. Spotify says services that claim to offer guaranteed playlist placement for money violate its terms, and they shouldn't be used. The brokers on this page disclaim placement guarantees explicitly, the contact databases sell contact access rather than placements, and Spotify's pitch is for editorial consideration. Spotify's one stated commitment is different in kind: pitch an eligible unreleased song at least 7 days before release and it goes into your followers' Release Radar.
Which free option gives you the curator's contact details?
PlaylistMap's free unlocks: each opens the contact details one curator posts publicly, covering every playlist that curator runs, and the address stays yours afterwards. Daily Playlists and SubmitHub keep the curator inside their platforms, Spotify's editorial pitch goes through a form rather than a contact, and artist.tools' contacts need its $15-a-month plan. You can also read playlist descriptions yourself, since many curators post a contact or submission form there; that is where PlaylistMap's catalog comes from.
Who publishes this page?
PlaylistMap, which offers one of the free options listed. PlaylistMap LLC, the company named in our terms, runs a curator-contact database and pitch tool; our earliest accounts date from February 2021. We sell access to the contact details curators post publicly and draft pitches; we don't sell placements or streams and aren't affiliated with Spotify or any service on this page. Facts come from each service's public pages, linked at the bottom; corrections are welcome.
Spotify's pitching rules come from its Spotify for Artists help page, checked on October 24, 2026; its policy on paid placements is here. Broker facts come from Daily Playlists (FAQ), SubmitHub (free standard credits, premium response rules), Groover (paying to use Groover), Playlist Push (is it free) and SoundCampaign, checked on October 23, 2026; artist.tools pricing on October 4, 2026. PlaylistMap's operator is named in our terms. Groover prices Grooviz in euros (1 Grooviz = €1, about $1.07), though some of its pages label the per-contact price in dollars; confirm the billing currency. Prices and free allowances change, so check each site before you rely on them. PlaylistMap numbers are live.
