PlaylistMap vs Groover

PlaylistMap is a Spotify playlist-pitching database and curator-contact tool with 70,365 playlists from 37,048 curator records (counted live); you send the pitches yourself. Groover is a pay-per-contact submission platform: about €2 per curator or music professional per track, with feedback within 7 days or the Grooviz back for that contact.

  • Pick PlaylistMap if you want the contact details and a drafted pitch, and you release often enough that reusing contacts matters. Start with 3 free unlocks, then $9.99 a month.
  • Pick Groover if you want feedback with a 7-day deadline from curators and professionals, including media, radio and labels, and €2 per contact per track fits your plan.
  • Either way, no tool can promise a placement. Curators decide.

Who you reach, and what comes back

Reach

  • Groover is wider than playlists: media, radio shows, blogs, YouTube channels, labels and managers, chosen by category.
  • PlaylistMap focuses on Spotify playlists, each with follower counts, freshness and an integrity score before you spend a credit.

What comes back

  • Groover: written feedback with a 7-day deadline, enforced by returning your Grooviz for silent contacts; the contact itself is shared only if the curator likes the track.
  • PlaylistMap: whatever the curator replies to your email; no deadline, no credit protection, but the address is yours from the start.

What it costs over a year

  • Groover prices per contact per track in euros, so three singles to the same 30 contacts cost three times.
  • PlaylistMap is a monthly subscription (from $9.99) plus unlocks you keep; re-pitching unlocked curators is free.

When PlaylistMap fits better

  • Your target is Spotify playlists specifically, and you want to vet each one before pitching.
  • You release several times a year and want to keep the curator contacts.
  • You want pitches drafted for you, in English or Spanish, and to send from your own Gmail.

Questions

Is Groover cheaper than PlaylistMap?

Per pitch, Groover costs 2 Grooviz, which is about €2 (Groover quotes roughly $1.07 per Grooviz); top-tier curators cost more, packs start at €47, and there is no free tier. PlaylistMap starts free with 3 contact unlocks, then $9.99 a month for 20 unlocks, and one unlock covers every playlist that curator runs. If you pitch the same curators again next release, PlaylistMap costs nothing extra; on Groover every track is a new fee.

Do I get the curator's contact on Groover?

Not by default. Your track and the reply stay inside Groover. Groover says that if a curator likes your track they may share their contact information with you. On PlaylistMap the contact details curators post publicly are the product, and you email them yourself.

Does Groover guarantee an answer?

Groover promises feedback within 7 days, or your Grooviz back for each contact who doesn't respond, and reports a 90% reply rate. That protects your credits; it doesn't mean every contact will answer. PlaylistMap makes no response promise, because you are emailing independent curators directly.

Who is on each platform?

Groover lists more than 3,000 curators and professionals across playlists, media, blogs, radio, YouTube channels, labels and managers. PlaylistMap is Spotify-only: 70,365 playlists from 37,048 curator records, 80% with an email address.

Can either tool guarantee a playlist placement?

No. Groover guarantees feedback, not placement, and says sharing a song is up to the curator. Spotify says services that claim to offer guaranteed playlist placement for money violate its terms, and they shouldn't be used.

Can I use both?

Nothing stops you. Groover is useful when you want media, radio or label feedback with a deadline; PlaylistMap is for building a list of Spotify curators you can pitch directly, release after release.
